If you’ve check out any of my other posts, you’ll know that needle felting is one of our favorite forms of handwork in our cozy home. I highly recommend adding this to your space and finding moments of togetherness working on these fun projects! Of course with younger children this needs to be supervised, but I was always surprised at how quickly the young children could pick it up. My daughter started at 3 years old with chopsticks and wet felting valentines hearts. I hope your family enjoys it as much as our family does!

There is nothing that grinds my gears more than when kids get these elaborate science sets, or things that needs to be built as gifts for the holidays. Unless you are gonna sit there and help them with it…please don’t do this! Now don’t get me wrong, we homeschool so often I am able to find the time to sit and help kids with these kits…but it’s still kinda annoying. Anyway…that’s just my feelings. THIS KIT however is fun for EVERYONE and you don’t have to be reading pages and pages of directions. Keep it simple! This sun print kit has been a family favorite for over a decade now! Yes I know is the day and age of technology everything…something like this seems so simple. I like to get back to basics often. Something as simple as this toy could be considered mundane and boring…yet I am always surprised at how my kids still incorporate tools like this into their creativity and art….our youngest still likes to stamp all over his body …but he’s our wild one!

We were first introduced to the AWESOME gadget over a decade ago. We were invited to a new friends house that we met after moving to Texas. The mother had set up several of these at a table and then added all color of permanent markers! The kids all played for HOURS. Side note…you do need to go buy out the entire white egg section at Walmart…the kids and YOU will not want to stop decorating eggs!

We are an outdoor family and love outdoor games! This one will be added to our Easter fun this year. A game like this spans the ages and can be playing individually or relay race teams! It so important to us, as our kids are IN and entering their teen years that we play “silly” and active games like this together. It brings out and supports their competitive side. Play with your teens…they actually want you to!
