Ever since we learned about the Waldorf approach of “Head, Heart, and Hands” I intentionally create handwork baskets that sit next to the couch, or in the healing room, or wherever we sit to be cozy. Today I’ll share some of our favorite handwork items for a cozy home!

Little Heart Mini Felting Kit
Little hands and Big hands can easily navigate this needle felting kit. This is one of our favorite cozy home crafting activities. There is always a basket of needle felting supplies available to pick up a project at any time!

Beeswax Candle Making Kit—Hand Rolled
Our kiddos always roll a new candle for their birthdays, and again for advent. They’ll also roll one for a friends birthday and secure it to the present with ribbon. That little touch always gets a lot of compliments!

Weaving Loom Kit
This is a classic…with the biggest benefit of never having to buy potholders! I don’t know what it is…I just LOVE these Loom Kits, and the kids will sit and knock one out in no time now! When they were little, these loom kits were an easy craft for them all to sit around the table and make Christmas gifts for relatives!
Put this handwork kit in a basket and keep it near the table!

Air Dry Clay
This one has been a staple in our house for a long time, and comes out often when our youngest has friends over! Air dry clay brings hours of fun and creativity, and fuels imagination! This first link is for our favorite colored air dry clay and the second link is for our favorite non-colored air dry clay (this is the one the kids will paint) FYI the clay in the second link makes great incense holders!

Handwork is a great way to nurture the head, heart and hands of all ages! Mix handwork with tea time, and moments of great connection and together will come to fruition!
Enjoy!
